Where this 16x2 fits
This is the standard 1602: an 80.0 x 36.0 mm outline with a 64.5 x 16.0 mm window, and at 8.7 mm the thinnest module in the range. It is the natural choice when an existing 1602 cut-out has to be reused, or when a design was originally drawn around a generic 1602 and the mechanical drawing cannot move.

It uses the standard 16-pin single-enable assignment, so it drops into an existing 1602 design without rewiring. If the harness still needs a different pin order or a different exit side, both can be changed. Operating range is −20 °C to +70 °C as standard, extendable to −30 °C to +80 °C.
